Lost Ships

Lost Ships

Hundreds of ships were wrecked around the coasts of the Long Island.  A map and poems represent the loss of cargo and human life – to the sea and weather, war, or navigational error. The white dots represent shipwrecked in the coastal waters of the Outer Hebrides. They create an outline of the land against the black background. There are two accompanying visual poems in the blog which were mounted on the wall in vinyl (Taigh Cearsabhagh) and as prints (an Lanntair).

The blog gives a lot of context :https://www.gillrussell.co.uk/p/lost-ships.html
